Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper evaluates the academic outcomes of high-dosage tutoring programs in large urban school districts. These tutoring initiatives provide struggling students with individualized instruction from qualified tutors. Quantitative analysis of student data shows participants improved test scores and grades in math and reading compared to matched peers. Results suggest high-frequency, personalized tutoring can be an effective intervention to increase achievement for at-risk students in underserved communities.
