The Flipped Classroom Model in Higher Education

Abstract
This paper examines the flipped classroom instructional model in higher education courses. The flipped model inverts traditional teaching methods, delivering lecture content outside of class via video lessons and activities. Class time is then used for discussion, collaborative work, and application activities. Research shows the flipped approach can increase student engagement and performance. However, careful lesson planning and transition support is needed. The paper provides best practices for implementing flipped instruction and overcoming challenges at the university level.
